Captain Timothy Altman is a retired military veteran with a lifelong passion for angling. For the past 25 years, he’s primarily focused on offshore and competitive tournament fishing, ultimately becoming a Charter Captain because he loves to put people on fish and is committed to going the extra mile to do so. His real joy is watching someone reel in a fish they’ve only ever dreamed about.
Capt. Tim has won or placed in a myriad of tournaments from Ocean City, Maryland, to Saint Augustine, Florida, and is a two-time Jacksonville Sailfish Pot Trophy winner. He has been featured in the Florida Sportsman Magazine and does High-Speed Wahoo Trolling seminars throughout the state for the Florida Sportsman Expos. In addition, he authors two columns for Florida print publications and engages in podcasts and live streams about offshore fishing. If you’re willing, there’s a great chance your charter will be featured in media outlets with pictures of your epic day!
Departing from Amelia Island, Florida, our powerful, custom-made fleet gives our customers a chance to experience what it’s like to fish professionally for the day. With outriggers, downriggers, kites, fish finders, live bait wells, and a state-of-the-art 96-inch trolling motor to precisely anchor, we set you up for a successful day on the water. Safety is our first priority and we keep our boats in pristine, tip-top shape; our fleet is equipped with readily accessible life jackets, survival suits, satellite phones, GPS, top-notch electronics, and radar.
The Saltwater Challenge is a custom-built 36ft Contender center console boat. It’s powered by triple 300hp engines and can accommodate up to six anglers. With a restroom on board, the Saltwater Challenge is a great choice for those with kids in tow.
The Pearl 25′ Sea Pro bay boat with capacity for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
